BlueKat is an easy-to-use module which provides Bluetooth connectivity via a standard serial UART interface. Most Bluetooth devices have a very limited range but BlueKat units have an integrated power amplifier which gives them a line of sight maximum range of 1 km. Of course, within a building or built-up area this range is reduced but nevertheless is sufficient to provide excellent coverage within buildings and offices.
